At times on quiet waters one does not speak aloud but only in whispers, for then all noise is sacrilege.

. . .
There eventually comes a time on all wilderness trips, particularly solo trips, when the mind relaxes. The need for words recedes as internal peace takes over.
More here.
Thank you for sharing such wise and beautiful art and thoughts. You are truly a gift.
So true, so à propos. I absolutely hate it when ppl engaged in a sports activity like canoeing or bicycling, and talk, or rather yell, to each other about some mindless, trite, superficial urban topic, or about their job in the city.
Ask yourself why are you here in nature ? To renew your soul, find new resource(s) for your heart, refill your spirit ? Or should you rather have stayed home ?
Motor boats are also a great nuisance, especially those coming close to canoeists or Kayakers, making waves to annoy and ruin the fun of nature lovers.
